Using Social Impact Bonds to Support a Broader City Homelessness Strategy (2016)
Many governments are exploring the use of a tool called “Pay for Success” or “Social Impact Bonds.” The tool has the promise of allowing governments to only pay for demonstrated results and outcomes, while also allow governments to capitalize on private investment and nonprofit innovation. At its core, “Pay for Success” is a new way for governments to procure for and contract for services. The webinar looks at the exciting early lessons, challenges that have been confronted, and what advantages this tool might have for governments moving forward.
